Bray Stone
Guardian, Warrior, Protector
Appearance
To have Bray stand behind you is similar to being in an eclipse. Bray’s physical appearance is one of incredible strength. Long straw-blond hair surrounds his head like a lion’s mane, aided by his full, but trimmed beard. He is rarely found without his burnished black full plate, and he is never found without his unbreakable claymore and assortment of knives. Bray’s training focused on intimidation, and his appearance reflects this.
Personality
Bray has two very different faces. To his opponents and potential threats, he is dark and foreboding, exuding an aura of raw power. His short fuse tends to deal with threats with overwhelming force. Amongst friends, he is jovial and boisterous. While not the swiftest bird in the flock, he loves a good bawdy joke or a terrible pun.
Skills
Through severe training regiments, Bray has become one of the finest swordsman in the kingdom, matched only by his father. Less well-known is Bray’s skill with daggers, a secret he has only shared with his friends. His roll amongst his friends is threat elimination. The best defense is an overpowering offense.
Nobility
The Stone’s family crest is a black mastiff standing in a white field. The family motto is “None shall pass.” The family animal is a mastiff.
Family History
The Stone family is only recently associated with Valhain. Dren Stone, Bray’s father, arrived in Valhain before the War of Fire. In a previous life, he was an Eastern Paladin, however a conflict of ideals forced him to leave the country. He left behind his life and his identity. Once in Valhain, his combative skills and stoic intelligence allowed him to rise in the military ranks. Uninterested in command, he found his place as Peter Harold’s bodyguard and advisor. When Harold came into power, he granted Dren nobility. Unimaginative, Dren chose the family name of Stone and married a plain, but strong woman. After the death of his wife in childbirth, Dren chose not to remarry, and focused his attentions on training his son in protective combat.
