Arandale

Arandale is the largest valley in Valhain. It is also the most heavily populated. Arandale is split east and west by the Starfall River. In the south, the river splits in two, carving a tiny slice out of the southern section of the valley. Arandale is the closest thing Valhain has to flat land. Thus, the majority of the valley is broken up into farms and the occasional village. The trade route runs through the center of the valley, so there are heavier settlements there. The capital of Valhain is in the south, where the Starfall River splits. It is less convenient, being off the trade route, but is also the most defensible piece of terrain in the entire valley. Arandale has passes to Westgate, Leffar's Gate, MerLauren, Fairwind Keep, and Wayfarer's Retreat. It is the most well-connected of the valleys in the chain.
