[BozeMUG] old mac networking question

Does anyone have any experience connecting an old 68k Mac to a newer
network?

I have a FreeBSD machine running Netatalk, Atalkd, and Afpd, and I
believe the hardware is set up correctly, but on the Mac I am not
seeing the server in the chooser when I select appleshare...

Any ideas?
